Accommodation   Availability   More information?   How to find us

Victoria Villa B&B is a handsome red brick Victorian town house, lovingly maintained and with many of the original features. It enjoys an elevated position in a quiet residential area, overlooking parts of Bala, the lush Upper Dee Valley and the Berwyn mountain range in the distance.

Location

It is just a short walk to the lake, where you will discover beautiful lakeside scenery, a miscellany of waterborne activities, an excellent Tourist Information Centre and a well-equipped modern Leisure Centre which features an all-year heated swimming pool. The town is only a few minutes walk away from our property, so you can leave your car behind and enjoy an evening at one of the friendly local pubs or restaurants. Most of the popular coastal resorts of North Wales are just an hour’s breathtaking drive away.

We are only 5 minutes drive from the National Whitewater Centre.

Bala

Bala is an attractive and lively historic market town within the boundaries of Snowdonia National Park (designated an area of outstanding natural beauty) straddling the A494 Dolgellau road. It is ideally situated for touring North and Mid Wales.

There are interesting shops, inns, restaurants and an intriguing historical Town Walk - (leaflet available).

Bala boasts it’s own lake - Llyn Tegid, the largest natural lake in Wales, alongside which runs a charming narrow-gauge railway travelling the length of the lake. Llyn Tegid is the home of a unique fish, the Gwyniad, said to date back to the Ice-Age.
