Ty Gwennol

Ty Gwennol is our flagship. It was the first cottage we completed and
has proved very popular with all our guests many of whom return regularly.
The cottage enjoys views of the Berwyn mountains to the front (all
windows) and Foel Goch to the rear.
Ty Gwennol means "Swallow House" in English. The cottage has been
designed to sleep up to 6 people plus one small baby (cot-sized! Cot and
high chair are available on request.) There is one room with a double bed,
one with twin beds and one with two bunk beds. The bunks are full sized
for adult use but much loved by kids!
The
property has been sensitively restored, keeping as many of the original
features as possible, but without sacrificing our guests comfort and
warmth! Hence the double glazing and night storage heating to make this a
true all-year-round holiday accommodation.
The dining room at Ty Gwennol has a lovely view of the lily ponds.
The inglenook fireplace in the lounge has a
huge slate stone over the
top which we uncovered during the renovations. The coal effect electric
stove provides a warm and cosy glow on cooler evenings without the effort
of fire-lighting and cleaning! Old beams throughout the house give it a
friendly feeling which makes this cottage a real home from home.
This
secluded patio area area is ideal for a barbecue or just relaxing in
beautiful surroundings. There is good quality garden furniture for six and
a barbecue is available if wanted. The Patio is secure so toddlers and
dogs can’t escape! But the larger gardens are also available for a
barbecue by the ponds, or just to relax while the kids study pond life. If
you are lucky your mobile phone wont work here!!
