It is just a short peaceful walk to
Bala’s own lake - Llyn Tegid, the largest natural lake in Wales,
alongside which runs a charming narrow-gauge railway travelling the
length of the lake. You will discover beautiful lakeside scenery, a
miscellany of waterborne activities, an excellent Tourist Information
Centre and a well-equipped modern Leisure Centre which features an
all-year heated swimming pool. Llyn Tegid is the home of a unique fish,
the Gwyniad, trapped in the deep waters at the end of the Ice-Age.
The lively and historic market town of Bala
(population ca 2,000) is only a mile away from our property, so you
could leave your car behind and enjoy an evening at one of the friendly
local pubs or restaurants. There are interesting shops, inns,
restaurants and an intriguing historical Town Walk - (leaflet
available). We are situated within the boundaries of Snowdonia National
Park (designated an area of outstanding natural beauty) ideal for
touring North and Mid Wales.
How to find us
Drive out of Bala along the A494 towards Dolgellau, pass
the Leisure Centre on your left.
Drive on ahead until you reach a church and cemetery on your left,
directly facing the church (CARE HERE this is a bad bend and an accident
black spot) take a right turn, signposted Parc. A Short distance on, take
the first turn left, pass the cottages and take the driveway forking to
the left. There is a sign to our property at the entrance to our driveway. |
