Bryn Tegid Country House is a fine Victorian gentleman's residence, originally built for Major General Robert Owen Jones in 1849 (see history page) It has been restored and lovingly maintained by the present owners, keeping many of the original features.

Sample the unashamed luxury of living in this beautifully furnished home. Much of the furniture is antique.

You are sure of a very warm welcome here at Bryn Tegid.

Bryn Tegid enjoys an elevated position within its 9 acres of private woodland and beautiful lawned gardens, which guests are free to enjoy. The guest rooms all overlook Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) and its splendid surrounding scenery.

Sample the peace, tranquillity and clean fresh air. Bird-watchers will appreciate the variety of species to be observed and fishermen will find the area to be a paradise with its mix of fly and coarse fishing available on lakes and rivers. see http://www.balawales.com/angling The region is famous for its variety of watersports with expert tuition and guidance available. High spot for many is the famous world-class National White Water Centre where you can experience rafting or canoeing the rapids.
